Adaptive management is the process of continually improving management and operational policies and practices by learning from the outcomes and having an administrative mechanism in place so the Plan can be modified in response to evolving information, data, and analyses.
Adaptive Management includes opportunistic learning, hypothesis testing, applying management activities as experimental treatments, long-term monitoring, and directing the results of scientific analysis and assessment back into the program.
