The California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal EPA) develops and enforces environmental laws that regulate air, water and soil quality, pesticide use and waste recycling and reduction.
CalEPA oversees and coordinates activities for the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR), the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), and the California Air Resources Board (CARB).
