NOTICE: Revised Enhanced Reporting Form Under Delta Curtailment and Reporting Regulation Available

From the State Water Resources Control Board:

This email is to advise water right holders and claimants in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta watershed (Delta) that in order to streamline reporting and improve the usability of data provided, the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has revised the Enhanced Reporting forms under the emergency drought curtailment and reporting regulation for the Delta watershed. Additional information is available on the Enhanced Reporting Webpage.

Revisions to Enhanced Reporting of Projected Demand Form

Water rights and claims 5,000 acre-feet per annum or greater:

  • Water right holders and claimants with a face value or recently reported annual diversions of 5,000 acre-feet or greater are required to review the State Water Board’s projected demand for their right or claim each month using the Delta Watershed Methodology Demand Tool on the Enhanced Reporting Webpage; and
  • Complete the Enhanced Reporting of Projected Demand Form each month. Right holders and claimants of 5,000 acre-feet or greater must either:
    • Certify that they have reviewed and agree with the State Water Board’s projected water right demand for their right or claim, or
    • Provide an updated projected water right demand that may be used to inform water right curtailment decisions in the Water Unavailability Methodology for the Delta Watershed (methodology).

Water rights and claims 1,000 to 4,999 acre-feet per annum:

  • Water right holders and claimants with a face value or recently reported annual diversions of 1,000 to 4,999 acre-feet are requested, though not currently required, to review the State Water Board’s projected water right demand for their right or claim each month using the Delta Watershed Methodology Demand Tool on the Enhanced Reporting Webpage; and
  • Complete the Enhanced Reporting of Projected Demand Form each month. Right holders and claimants of 1,000 to 4,999 acre-feet who complete the Enhanced Reporting of Projected Demand Form should either:
    • Certify that they have reviewed and agree with the State Water Board’s projected water right demand for their right or claim, or
    • Provide an updated projected water right demand that may be used to inform water right curtailment decisions in the Water Unavailability Methodology for the Delta Watershed (methodology).

Additional simplifying edits have been made to the projected demand form, including the elimination of reporting by point of diversion. Updated demands may be used in place of the State Water Board’s projected demands in the Water Unavailability Methodology for the Delta Watershed.

The Enhanced Reporting of Projected Demand form for November demands is available on the Water Rights Form and Survey Submittal Portal (Survey Portal) now and is due by October 14, 2022.

Revisions to Enhanced Reporting of Prior Diversions Form

Water rights and claims 5,000 acre-feet per annum or greater:

Water right holders and claimants with a face value or recently reported annual diversions of 5,000 acre-feet or greater are required to submit the Enhanced Reporting of Prior Diversions Form each month.

Water right holders and claimants with a face value or recently reported annual diversions of 1,000 to 4,999 acre-feet are requested to submit the Enhanced Reporting of Prior Diversions Form each month.

Prior Diversions submissions should reflect actual diversions that took place under the water right or claim for the applicable month.

The Delta Watershed Methodology Demand Tool on the Enhanced Reporting Webpage identifies the rights and claims that are subject to required reporting and those that are requested to report.
