From the State Water Resources Control Board:
On May 13, 2022, South Feather Water & Power Agency (SFWPA) filed two petitions for temporary change with the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) to transfer up to 5,000 acre-feet under each permit for a total of up to 10,000 acre-feet of water pursuant to Water Code section 1725 et seq. With the petitions, SFWPA requests to add points of rediversion and a place of use to Permits 1267 and 2492 (Applications 1651 and 2778) to facilitate a transfer of water to the Santa Clara Valley Water District. The water will be made available for transfer by reservoir release. Temporary changes approved pursuant to Water Code section 1725 may be effective for up to one year.
The transfer is proposed to occur between July and November 2022. The notice is posted on the State Water Board’s website at: 2022 Notices.
