From the State Water Resources Control Board:
On April 1, 2021, Monterey County Water Resources Agency (Agency) filed petitions for change for water right License 7543 and Permit 21089 (Applications 16124 and 30532) with the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Water Rights (Division). With the petitions, the Agency seeks to change the place of use, add a point of rediversion, and distribution of storage to facilitate its Interlake Tunnel Project. Additionally, the Agency filed a petition for time extension for water right Permit 21089 seeking an extension of time until December 31, 2031, to complete beneficial use under Permit 21089.
