FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: Application period for the Water Efficiency Technical Assistance Program extended to February 3, 2022

From the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA):

CDFA’s Office of Environmental Farming and Innovation (OEFI) is extending the  application period for a new competitive grant program, the Water Efficiency Technical Assistance program (WETA), for an additional two weeks. The new submission deadline is Wednesday, February 3, 2022 at 5 pm Pacific Time.

Through this new program, resource conservation districts, non-profit organizations, University of California, California State University campuses, California community colleges, and California and federally-recognized tribes are eligible to receive up to $500,000 in funding to provide technical assistance to California farmers. Supported activities include one-on-one assistance, on-site pump and irrigation system evaluations, and training in irrigation efficiency and nutrient management.
