This notice is to advise interested parties that the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has released a Notice of Opportunity for Public Comment on a draft Order In the Matter of Petitions for Reconsideration of the Executive Director’s June 1, 2021 Order Conditionally Approving A Petition For Temporary Urgency Change To License and Permit Terms and Conditions Requiring Compliance with Delta Water Quality Objectives In Response to Drought Conditions; and the Executive Director’s June 10, 2021 Sacramento River Temperature Management Plan Approval Pursuant to Order 90-5 (draft Order). The deadline to file comments on the draft Order is Friday, January 7, 2022 by 12 noon.
The notice also provides advanced notice that the State Water Board will hold a public workshop to receive oral public comments on the draft Order and a 2022 Temporary Urgency Change Petition submitted by the California Department of Water Resources and the United States Bureau of Reclamation requesting additional changes to certain conditions of the water rights for the State Water Project and the Central Valley Project that were imposed pursuant to State Water Board Revised Decision 1641 at its regularly scheduled Board workshop on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 that will be noticed separately.
