The State Water Resources Control Board has released a notice of opportunity to comment on a Temporary Urgency Change Petition (TUCP) filed by the California Department of Water Resources and the United States Bureau of Reclamation (Petitioners) on December 1, 2022, to modify permit and license conditions of the State Water Project (SWP) and the federal Central Valley Project (CVP) that were imposed pursuant to State Water Board Decision 1641. The Petitioners specifically request changes to Delta outflow, San Joaquin River flow, and Delta Cross Channel Gate closure requirements from February 1 through April 30.
The deadline to file an objection to the TUCP is 12 pm noon on Friday, January 7, 2022.
The notice also provides advanced notice of a State Water Board public workshop to receive comments on the petition on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
