NOTICE: Russian River Curtailment Compliance Assistance Workshop

The State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Water Rights is holding an informational Compliance Assistance Workshop to provide guidance and further information to diverters responding to curtailment orders for the Upper and Lower Russian River Watersheds.

ITEM #1: Welcome and Introductions 

Opening remarks from Division of Water Rights: Erik Ekdahl, Deputy Director. 

Introductions from county supervisors and elected officials .

ITEM #2: Curtailment Order Responses 

Water Boards staff will discuss the required curtailment compliance response certifications, available exemptions, and the different curtailment response forms available. Staff will demonstrate the following topics: 

  • How to access the response portal
  • How to respond to the curtailment order
  • How to request an exception for human health and safety needs

ITEM #3: Curtailment Enforcement 

Discussion by Enforcement Staff on what to expect over the coming weeks
