The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Water Rights has issued four public notices for petitions related to water rights in the Shasta River watershed in Siskiyou County.
The petitions were filed by Montague Water Conservation District, Hidden Valley Ranch LLC, Cardoza Ranch Partnership, and Grenada Irrigation District. The petitions have been filed as part of a Safe Harbor Agreement process being coordinated with the National Marine Fisheries Service and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Collectively, the proposed actions described in the petitions are intended to improve fish habitat conditions in the upper Shasta River watershed.
