Sonoma County Water Agency has filed petitions for temporary urgency change for water right Permits 12947A, 12949, 12950, and 16596 (Applications 12919A, 15736, 15737, and 19351). Pursuant to the existing water rights, water is diverted from the Russian River stream system in Mendocino and Sonoma Counties.
Please be advised the Governor has declared a drought emergency for Sonoma and Mendocino counties in part to address the current dry conditions in the Russian River watershed. Consequently, the State Water Board is expediting processing of the TUCP per the declaration, including a 15-day notice period. Objections filed in response to this notice must be received by 4:30 pm on June 3, 2021.
