The State Water Board has prepared an Addendum to A Proposed Framework for Regulating Direct Potable Reuse in California. The Addendum consists of an early draft of the anticipated criteria for direct potable reuse. The State Water Board is currently seeking feedback from the public and stakeholders on the Addendum.

Direct potable reuse is the planned introduction of recycled water either directly into a public water system or into a raw water supply immediately upstream of a water treatment plant.
