Reclamation has received and conditionally approved the Restoration Administrator’s recommended flow schedule dated June 2, 2020 covering a full “Restoration Year.” Unconditional approval is based on successful passing of a Water Supply Test.
The current Restoration Allocation is 202,197 acre-feet as measured at Gravelly Ford. As of June 8, 2020, 37,327 acre-feet of Base Flows and 605 acre-feet of Buffer Flows have been released. The remaining schedule shows a release of 114,455 acre-feet of Base Flows and 487 acre-feet of returned exchanges. This schedule generates 50,415 acre-feet of Unreleased Restoration Flows, of which 45,417 acre-feet have already been distributed to Friant Long-term Contractors.
The schedule shifts 59,613 acre-feet of spring “flexible flows” to summer. A Water Supply Test is required to ensure that storage of that volume of water in Millerton beyond May 28 would not increase any water delivery reductions to Friant Long-term Contractors.
