From the State Water Board:
On May 29, 2020, Notices to Comply were sent to dischargers of nitrates in Priority 1 subbasins (Kaweah, Turlock, Chowchilla, Tule, Modesto, and Kings) in accordance with the Central Valley-wide Salt and Nitrate Control Program known as CV-SALTS. Examples of the Notice to Comply letters are attached. Deadlines for required document submittals are included in the Notices.
