The AB 1755 Partner Agency Team will host a public meeting on Friday, July 12, to share updates about implementation progress, review and discuss datasets to be available beginning in September 2019, and preview and discuss open and transparent water data platform features. The meeting will include a plenary session from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. and a reception and open house from 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Additional details below.
The Open and Transparent Water Data Act (AB 1755, Dodd) establishes that by September 1, 2019, State datasets on water and ecology/fisheries be available on the web. The State has adopted a federated approach, leveraging existing State data platforms at https://data.ca.gov/ and https://data.cnra.ca.gov/. This public meeting is an opportunity for interested stakeholders to learn about progress on developing the federated platform, and to discuss and share thoughts on early working lists of datasets the State expects to make available beginning in September.
