From the Water Solutions Network:
Do you know a leader who is dedicated to solving California’s water management challenges?
The Water Solutions Network advances cross-sector collaboration among leaders focused on the future of water management in our state. The Network’s learning experience connects and supports individuals who value engaging all stakeholders and bridging differences to generate new solutions.
Our second cohort of up to 24 people will participate in a shared learning experience beginning next spring, building relationships and skills that enable collective problem-solving and action. This cohort will be comprised of mid-career leaders from a wide variety of sectors – farmers, irrigation and residential water managers, conservationists, environmental justice advocates and more – who live and work in the Sacramento Valley, Delta region, and the Tulare Basin.

The Water Solutions Network is a joint project of three complementary partners, Coro Northern California, DIG IN, and Water Education for Latino Leaders (WELL), with sponsorship from the S. D. Bechtel, Jr. Foundation. The network is guided by a group of leaders drawn from all sectors; members of this Advisory Council are listed below.
Together, we encourage you to share this announcement with your contacts. We hope you will nominate exceptional candidates for the Water Solutions Network and/or personally consider applying to participate. More information and an online nomination form are available at WaterSolutionsNetwork.org. Qualified candidates can also self-nominate by completing the online application form by Nov. 9, 2018.
Effective water management is vital to the economy, ecology, and wellbeing of 21st-century California. Decision-makers today face issues ranging from an aging infrastructure and persistent water quality problems to extremes in both our weather patterns and policy perspectives. The state needs leaders who can cross boundaries, connect resources, and choose bold action that serves California’s communities, farms, and nature.
The Water Solutions Network seeks to empower more of these leaders. We hope you’ll stay in touch with the Water Solutions Network as it develops. We welcome your questions and ideas, and invite your suggestions on ways we can all collaborate for a more secure, equitable, and resilient future for water management in California.
