Dear Readers:
It’s off on another family vacation – this time, we’re headed to northern California, and I am immensely impressed with myself that a month ago, I managed to choose destinations and sites that are actually not on fire right now … I consider that a good omen, a sign of better things to come!
So I’m vacationing until through Wednesday, and during that time, I’ll be keeping some things up, although I am not sure what will happen. Usually, I keep odd hours, sleeping considerably less than normal, and it’s during these early morning hours that I’m often at work (hence breaking news at 4am). However, there are times when I am out and about, getting lots of exercise and fresh air that I come home and actually sleep closer to a normal person, so we’ll see how this goes.
My kids are older now – teenagers and all that comes therewith. This is likely my last chance to drag both of them off to see odd things. This time the theme is not water, but instead features of the San Andreas Fault that are visible on the North Coast. It also involves a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge and a little bit of time in San Francisco – they’ve never been.
So adventure awaits … !
So whatever happens between now and then, things will be back to normal come Thursday the 13th. May you have a great week!
Wishing you all the best,
Maven
