It has been a busy week! H.R. 3964 and other breaking news has dominated the content, but in the background I have been working on other things. Here’s what to expect in the coming week:
- Atmospheric river heads to California: Of course, we’ll be watching here at Maven Headquarters, and I’ll post any updates as warranted, so check back over the weekend for any new developments!
- Monday, we’ll look at reservoir and water conditions … we should see some modest improvement in the snowpack. (Is the drought over? No. But cross your fingers – maybe we can catch up to 1977 … !)
- Independent Science Panel’s Review of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan’s Chapter 5: Look for coverage of the panel’s initial findings on Monday.
- Coverage of the 2014 California Water Policy Seminar Series begins with Michael Rosenzweig’s talk on reconciliation ecology, Tactics for Conserving Diversity. Other speakers to follow.
- The Bay Delta Conservation Plan: Preliminary Infrastructure and Risk Assessment: In a special workshop in January, the San Diego County Water Authority examined the BDCP’s infrastructure and preliminary engineering report, as well as the the supply and demand risks in preparation to submit their formal comments.
- And of course I’ll be following the drought, any legislative developments, plus the blog round-up and science news, plus it might be time to do a page check with all of you BDCP readers, so stay tuned – there’s so much more on the way!
