Anyone following California water news is sure to recognize the name, Mike Taugher. He wrote for the Contra Costa Times for 12 years before being appointed by the Governor to the position of assistant deputy director of communications, education and outreach at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife in May of 2012. His in-depth knowledge and ability to explain complex issues of California’s water issues earned him awards as well as accolades and admiration from both his colleagues and regular readers.
