Governor Brown has sent a letter to Secretary Sally Jewell and Acting Secretary Rebecca Blank urging timely federal review of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan when the documents become available in the upcoming months.
With $200 million already spent in the planning process, continued funding relies on completion of the planning phase this summer, he says:
“I stand willing to mobilize whatever resources we have at our disposal to assist the federal government in their document review. My office staff and Department of Water Resources, the agency responsible for the Plan, are ready and able to provide funding, staff time, consulting or whatever else it takes to get this done.”
